The authoring tool used to create the website was Macromedia Dreamweaver. The advantage of this product is its ability to show both the coding and Design window in the same view. This allowed the two group members responsible for the sites creation to see the results as they worked.
Some problems were encountered when using the package as the University of Paisley are using level three of the product and as the group members are more familiar with newer versions of the product that boast better production facilities the designers had, on occasion, the need to go back to basics and hand code sections to get their desired effect.
During the design of the website the group agreed that due to their previous experience in group work being related to Special Needs that they would try to make this site as inclusive as possible by using Hot Key Navigation and Alternative Text for graphics where possible.
